A posture assessment is a process to decide whether you have good posture. This process looks at the body’s physical alignment and may comprise of special tests, including Gait analysis, which will help the client to understand, why they can’t sit for longer periods of time or why they are having back pain when running 10k.
Rehabilitation is an essential aspect in the recovery of any injury, aiming to return you to a pre-injury condition. An initial full consultation, followed by treatment plan, and a rehabilitation plan, these are all bespoke and are unique to the client, to get the best possible treatment and outcome.
Benefits of a postural assessment:
Improves body shape and appearance
Maximises muscle & joint function
Clients can gain a better understanding of their posture
Improves working/ sporting performance
Decreases abnormal wear of the joints
Promotes health ageing
Decreases muscular pain and fatigue
A detailed case history is taken, this will take into account past medical history, how the injury came about, then a full assessment of the condition, and this will allow a bespoke treatment plan to be built giving an idea how long your recovery could take.
Treatment & Rehabilitation plan:
This will be determined by the findings from your consultation. This will involve treatments such as massage to work together with the rehabilitation exercises set over a period of 4 -12 weeks (depending severity). With all rehabilitation programs, time is made available to learn how to do the exercises or stretches within the treatment time.
